Sintra

The scheme defines the design approach to the development of the Museum in a preexistent building in Sintra’s Village.

The main design focus was to create a non-linear approach to the exhibition scheme, allow- ing the viewer to establish transversal views through the various time intervals represented by the series of objects displayed.

The exhibition system is anchored in two big display walls that organize the main objects of the collection. These walls reference themselves to the geologic and biomorphic character of the objects displayed, surpassing the usual chronological exhibition system as well although not creating scientific reveries.

The v cell system is used as exhibition element and temporary amphitheater.
